Medical Scholars Program
The University of Illinois College of Medicine coordinates a renowned Medical Scholars Program leading to a joint M.D./Ph.D. Many researchers in the School of MCB study molecular mechanisms of biological processes (development, cell signaling, metabolism, and many others), dysfunction, and disease. Our faculty fosters medically related research by integrating MCB programs with the College of Medicine and sponsoring graduate students participating in the M.D./Ph.D. Program. Students begin their program of study in their graduate department. M.D. training is integrated with graduate training in subsequent years.
