Postdoctoral Research Associate positions in Simulation Studies of Membrane Proteins

The Computational Structural Biology and Molecular Biophysics Group at the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology of the University of Illinois is seeking several postdoctoral research associates to join a recently funded consortium grant to study structure and dynamics of membrane proteins. The research, which is funded by a major NIH glue grant (large consortium grant) focuses on development and application of computational methods for mechanistic studies of various classes of membrane proteins and membrane-associated phenomena, offering an outstanding opportunity for highly motivated young scientists to participate in the effort and closely collaborate with leading computational, theoretical, and experimental groups actively studying membrane proteins. The candidate is expected to have a strong foundation in physics, chemistry and biology, with some experience in computational and biophysical research. If interested, please directly contact Emad Tajkhorshid, the PI and group leader of the CSBMB Group, at emad@life.illinois.edu with your resume and short statement of your interest and the areas (development or application or both) in which you wish to participate. Please arrange for 3 letters of recommendations also to be sent directly to the email address specified above. The positions are immediately available.
