CMB-MB 20th Annual Symposium

The 20th Annual Cell and Molecular Biology and Molecular Biophysics (CMB-MB) Training Grant Research Symposium will be held November 2 from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the NCSA building.

The CMB-MB program is supported by a National Institutes of Health training grant. A premier interdisciplinary graduate training program, it is delivered by faculty in 12 different departments at Illinois, including all four departments of the School of MCB.

The Symposium is a day-long event involving a student poster and oral presentation competition, invited talks, and a keynote address. This year's keynote speaker is Dr. Barry Honig, of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics and Center of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics at Columbia University and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Honig was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 2004.
