undergradIf you are considering MCB as a major, the MCB Advising Program offers a chance to meet one-on-one with an MCB instructor or advisor and to tour labs, classrooms and offices. To plan your visit, please call the MCB Advising Program at (217) 333-6774, or email advising@mcb.uiuc.edu.

One hour visits are available at the following times based on instructor or advisor availability:

  • Monday, 1:00 pm
  • Tuesday, 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00 pm
  • Wednesday, 3:00 and 4:00 pm
  • Thursday, 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00 pm
  • Friday, 10:00 am; 1:00 pm

Transfer

An MCB advisor can help you with the transfer process. In some cases, you will need written approval from an advisor in order to transfer.

To Transfer to Illinois from Another Campus

To Transfer to MCB from Another College on the Urbana Campus

To Change Majors Within the College of LAS

To switch to MCB as your major, check the LAS Admission Web pages. Written approval is required from an MCB advisor before processing by LAS Student Academic Affairs.

Apply

Incoming freshmen should apply for admission to the College of LAS.
