Prospective students in Microbial Ecology and Evolution should consider their particular research area of interest and faculty members when deciding which of following programs best fits their research goals. Some programs allow students to apply directly to a lab of interest, and others admit students to a program. Prospective students are encouraged to contact the faculty members whose research interests them to discuss what program is the best match.

Graduate Students in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology (GEEB) serves to coordinate and unify the many graduate students conducting research in ecology and evolutionary biology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, including students interested in natural resources, wildlife management, modeling, conservation biology, and related fields.
