Continuing for the fall 2021 semester we will hold a limited amount Express appointments each weekday, i.e. one advisor on duty. The Queue page will have the specific times posted each morning for that particular day. These meetings are designed to be quick, 10 minute sessions. If a longer discussion is necessary you will be asked to schedule a full 30 minute appointment. Express appointments can be in person, online, or by phone.

Beginning Thursday, August 19th advising appointments will be available in Zoom (https://illinois.zoom.us/), over the phone, or in-person. If you choose the Zoom option an advisor will send you an email invite for the meeting. You must use your Illinois email and NetID password when joining the meeting. If you choose the phone option, please be sure to leave an accurate number where we can reach you. All varieties of appointment can be made using YouCanBook.me or calling (217) 333-6774.

We will do our best to answer questions addressed to advising@mcb.illinois.edu within 24 - 48 hours. If a question requires a detailed response, or if you have questions about things that we cannot discuss via email (like grades), we will ask you to make an appointment using one of the other methods discussed above.

The next curriculum change period: October 4 -29, 2021. If you are interested in declaring an MCB major please attend one of our MCB information meetings. Current biology majors do not need to attend a meeting. They may simply fill out this form.
