Illinois Program for Research in the Humanities - U of I. Are you a life science or bio-engineering major interested in philosophy, politics, history, and literature? Are you interested in exploring how the sciences and the humanities are together generating new areas of research?

Feb 8, 2016 AstraZeneca — Currently, I am filling the role of Site Microbiologist at AstraZeneca’s Frederick Manufacturing Facility in Frederick, MD. I am looking for a junior/senior microbiology (or MCB) major to work as a summer intern (anticipated June 7th start date), who understands bacterial physiology and ecology. I am hoping there are a few candidates from the UIUC who will apply and are maybe interested in exploring the industry side of things.

The company will pay for housing and a salary, and I’m reasonably sure transportation as well. Aseptic technique would also help as there is a likely opportunity to participate in some biofilm focused lab work. Here’s the link to the opportunity…
