Abigail Salyers, a professor of microbiology, spoke about the relationship between humans and the microbial world recently at CU Caf Sci, a monthly forum at the Verde Caf in downtown Champaign. The event is based on the international concept called Caf Scientifique, informal gatherings where experts lead discussions about scientific topics.
