Several student-athletes majoring in molecular and cellular biology have been named to the Big Ten Conference’s Academic All-Big Ten team.

Hannah Aegerter, Lia Munson, Meghan Niziolek, and Isabelle Packard, all members of the Women’s Swimming and Diving team, were recognized for their academic success.

“I’m proud to see our students pursuing their passions both in and outside of the classrooms and laboratories,” said Milan Bagchi, director of the School of Molecular & Cellular Biology and Deborah Paul Endowed Professor. “Here at the School of MCB, we are thrilled to see our students thriving in all aspects of campus life. We’re proud to have Hannah, Lia, Meghan, and Isabelle represent not only MCB, but also the Fighting Illini.”

To be eligible for academic all-conference selection, student-athletes must be in at least their second academic year at their institution and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
