Erik Nelson: College of LAS Dean’s Distinguished Professorial Scholar
Nelson, a faculty member in the Department of Molecular & Integrative Physiology, was chosen for the Distinguished Professorial Scholar for 2025-2026. The honor recognizes outstanding faculty members being considered for promotion from associate to full professor.
Beth Stadtmueller: Helen Corley Petit Scholar, College of LAS
Statdmueller, a faculty member in the Department of Biochemistry, was named a 2025-2026 Helen Corley Petit Scholar by the College of LAS. The Helen Corley Petit Scholar recognizes early career faculty members for their scholarship and teaching. Recipients hold the title for one academic year and receive support for their research and teaching.
Nicholas Wu I. C. Gunsalus Scholar award, Distinguished Promotion
Wu, a faculty member in the Department of Biochemistry, was selected for the I.C. Gunsalus Scholar Award for 2025-2026. The I.C. Gunsalus Scholar recognizes young faculty members for their scholarship and teaching in physical and life sciences. Recipients hold the title for one academic year and receive support for their research and teaching.
Wu was also awarded a 2025 Campus Distinguished Promotion, which celebrates faculty whose contributions in scholarship, teaching, and service were truly exceptional.
