MCB 101 is restricted and enrollment is managed by the wait lists. Priority lists for some programs have individual wait lists (contact advisor in your program for link). Priority lists are now closed. Students who missed the priority list may add their name to the general wait list. The general wait list request is available here: https://go.illinois.edu/mcb101_SP25_waitlist. All students who submitted the priority lists and the general list as of 11.07.24 have been authorized and emailed.

MCB 150 will have a limited number of unrestricted seats available throughout registration. Currently seats are available for continuing biology, MCB, NEUR, and BIOC students and students in BIOE. Major restrictions will be removed after November 20. ***Major restrictions have now been removed; all remaining lecture seats are now open.

MCB 170 will be restricted to neuroscience majors until November 20. If seats remain we will remove the restriction then. ***Major restrictions have now been removed.

MCB 198 and MCB 199 INT are for internships. To request approval fill out this form, https://go.mcb.illinois.edu/internship.

MCB 199 MED, MedPrep, will be open to all majors.

MCB 246 is unrestricted.

MCB 250: Restrictions have now been removed.

MCB 252 is currently full.

MCB 253 is almost full. If it fills please fill out this interest form. We are gauging interest to see if we can provide an additional section.

MCB 354 is restricted to declared MCB and BIOC seniors and juniors at all times. Students with appropriate prerequisites can request authorization via the online form at https://go.mcb.illinois.edu/MCB354SP25_AuthorizationRequest.

MCB 406/BIOC 406 is currently fill, but we are working on provided more seats to BIOC students only.

MCB 450 is currently full. Students should fill out the wait list listed below.

Most MCB 300-level and 400-level courses are restricted to seniors/juniors MCB, NEUR, and BIOC students. Some seats will be held for graduate students in MCB programs. See entries in Course Explorer for individual course restrictions. Contact MCB Instructional Program at ipsupport@mcb.illinois.edu if you have any questions.

The following lab courses will be restricted to declared MCB, NEUR, and BIOC seniors first. (Restricted to seniors until Nov. 12 and then to juniors until Nov. 16. Restrictions will be removed on Nov. 18.) ***Major/year restrictions on advanced MCB labs have now been removed (except for BIOC 455, biochem major restriction remains).
