MCB 100 is open to all without restrictions or authorizations.

MCB 101 is open to all without restrictions or authorizations.  Currently there remain seats in sections D, F and G.

MCB 150 is open to all without restrictions or authorizations.

MCB 151 is open to all without restrictions or authorizations.

MCB 246 is open to all without restrictions or authorizations

MCB 247 is open to all without restrictions or authorizations.  Currently there remain approximately 70 seats scattered across a series of sections.  Everyone is free to enroll.

MCB 250 is open to all without restrictions or authorizations.

MCB 170 will be restricted to neuroscience majors until November 20. If seats remain we will remove the restriction then. ***Major restrictions have now been removed.

MCB 198 and MCB 199 INT are for internships. To request approval fill out this form, https://go.mcb.illinois.edu/internship.

MCB 199 MED, MedPrep, will be open to all majors.

MCB 253 is almost full. If it fills please fill out this interest form. We are gauging interest to see if we can provide an additional section.

MCB 354 is restricted to declared MCB and BIOC seniors and juniors at all times. Students with appropriate prerequisites can request authorization via the online form at https://go.mcb.illinois.edu/MCB354SP25_AuthorizationRequest.

MCB 406/BIOC 406 is currently full, but we are working on providing more seats to BIOC students only.

MCB 450 is currently full. Students should fill out the wait list listed below. ***Students who submitted request forms by Dec. 6 have been authorized and emailed.

Most MCB 300-level and 400-level courses are restricted to seniors/juniors MCB, NEUR, and BIOC students. Some seats will be held for graduate students in MCB programs. See entries in Course Explorer for individual course restrictions. Contact MCB Instructional Program at ipsupport@mcb.illinois.edu if you have any questions.

The following lab courses will be restricted to declared MCB, NEUR, and BIOC seniors first. (Restricted to seniors until Nov. 12 and then to juniors until Nov. 16. Restrictions will be removed on Nov. 18.) ***Major/year restrictions on advanced MCB labs have now been removed (except for BIOC 455, biochem major restriction remains).
