Rising Stars in Cell and Developmental Biology Symposium
The Department of Cell & Developmental Biology, in partnership with MilliporeSigma, is pleased to announce the launch of a Rising Stars in Cell and Developmental Biology Symposium in early Fall 2024. This event aims to provide talented postdocs from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to present their research and engage with our scientific community, in preparation for future academic roles. We encourage postdoctoral fellows specializing in cell and developmental biology, genetics, and genomics, including members of historically underrepresented groups, to apply. Selected applicants will be invited to visit the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign to present their research during the symposium, and to meet with CDB faculty, postdocs, students, and MilliporeSigma scientists. The department and MilliporeSigma will cover travel expenses and lodging.
The deadline to apply for the Fall 2024 symposium is June 15, 2024. Apply online.
More information is available from the departmental office administrator at cdb-office@illinois.edu or Xin Li, CDB seminar committee chair and associate professor, at lixin@illinois.edu.
